The University of Central Florida section of the Society of Women Engineers is a section of the national organization serving UCF students. Our primary purpose is to help students become aware of the opportunities available to them in engineering and STEM-related careers. SWE empowers women and men to aspire, advance, succeed, and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.

Our Officers 2023-2024

Major: Mechanical Engineering

Hi! I’m a fourth-year Mechanical Engineering student. I currently work at Limbitless Solutions, where I help design bionic arms for people with limb differences. I hope to help SWE members get internships and advance their engineering careers.

Major: Photonics Science and Engineering

I’m a third year photonics student! I’m in this club to unite women and non-binary people and help them achieve their goals in a supportive community. Outside of SWE I love playing soccer and cooking!

My name is Reva and I’m from New Jersey! I am a 3rd year aerospace engineering student and I interned with Northrop Grumman in Los Angeles this past summer! As the External Vice President of SWE, I’m looking forward to connecting our SWE members to different professionals and companies to aid our members in obtaining the internships and jobs they want!

My name is Liana Alvarez, and I’m in my senior year studying Industrial Engineering and Management Systems. From interning at United Launch Alliance in Summer 2023 to an upcoming stint at Blue Origin in Fall 2023, I hope to continue to specialize in the uprise of the aerospace industry and its excellence. Beyond my studies, I aspire to empower girls in STEM, fostering a future of diversity and innovation. My academic drive and commitment to inclusivity defines my journey as I get ready to engineer a brighter tomorrow.

Hello, I’m Arielle Valiente, a third-year aerospace engineering major and the current Treasurer of our SWE. I am so excited to be on the eboard in a club where our goal is to create an empowered space for women in STEM to feel safe and prepare them to pursue their goals in the engineering field. This year, I am most looking forward to the upcoming National WE 23 conference, where we will bring 26 girls to LA. Can’t wait to share with everybody how it goes!

Hi! My name is Anna Rankin and I am one of the Chairs of Professional Development for SWE. I am a second-year Mechanical Engineering major and I am pursuing a minor in Bioengineering. I would love to find more like-minded women in STEM through SWE so we can support each other and learn from each other. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball and trying new restaurants.

Hi! I’m a 2nd year Computer Science major. I’m a professional development officer and a goal of mine in this position is to get to know and talk to more of SWE’s members and provide them with the resources they need to develop their career. Currently, I work in cybersecurity as an intern at Siemens Energy and in my free time I like playing tennis. I’m excited to be part of SWE and can’t wait for the events we have planned.

Hi my name is Victoria Badia and I am a senior in Environmental Engineering. I am a socials officer this year and one of my goals is to help SWE members bond and have time to take a step back from studying and do something fun together. I can’t wait to have a great year and go to LA for WE23.

Hi, I’m Adrienne Flowers, a second year computer engineering student. As a social officer, I aspire to bring entertainment and connection to the club through craft workshops, boardgames nights, and group outings. Some of my hobbies include sewing, rollerblading, and cooking.

My name is Zeinb Salih, and I’m a math major (engineering and physics track) with a real estate minor. I’m hoping to work in data science or product management. I enjoy kayaking, riding roller coasters, and skating (regular and ice).

My name is Riya Dalal and I’m a SWE Outreach Officer for the 2023-2024 year. I’m a junior studying Mechanical Engineering and I just interned at GE Aerospace in Jacksonville last summer. I’m looking forward the SWE events this year excited to help host the Mystery Design and SWEet College Day outreach events this year!

My name is Isabella Arencibia and I’m a Mechanical Engineering senior! I’m also one of SWE’s marketing officers and my goal with this position is to attract new members and keep everyone updated as to our events and opportunities. I’ve gotten a lot out of SWE, such as my first internship with Boeing, and can’t wait to give back and help other hardworking women achieve their goals!

My goal is to make sure that flyers and posts are made and sent out so you all can know about our events and attend them. Something interesting about me is I have had two previous internships, and I am very passionate about both the aerospace and automotive industries.

My ultimate career goal is to work in the themed entertainment industry, utilizing technology to create innovative themed experiences. In freshman year, I joined SWE and immediately fell in love with the organization and its empowerment of women in engineering! In my free time, I love crocheting and drinking coffee!
